In 2022, youth leaders from Basement Developers founded the Engineering Club at Carlmont High School to provide easy-to-access resources to local high school students.
- We have over 45+ members and held 20 club meetings over the past year
- We focus on Engineering Design Process through an activity based curriculum
- Activities include building structurally sound buildings, learning the design process through CAD and 2D sketching classes, and industry education through guest speakers
- We’ve partnered with Intuitive Surgical to provide guest speakers such as Huan Phan who gave talks on the design process and career paths for engineers
Club meetings are hosted every Wednesday during lunch time in A-12 at Carlmont High School. Please come and join us.
